What Actually Matters in an SEO Audit (And What Clients Think Matters)

Most clients come into SEO with one of two mindsets: either "just help me rank" or "I read a blog post and I think I know what I need." Both are fair. But when we recently worked with a fast-growing wellness brand, we learned something surprising: the real opportunities weren’t where anyone expected.


In our initial audit, the client assumed they needed backlinks and blogs. But what we found was:

  • No meta descriptions on core pages

  • Multiple H1s on the homepage

  • Missing internal linking between conversion points

  • A homepage title tag that just said the brand name (yikes)

Fixing these "invisible" elements made a bigger short-term impact than any backlink could.


SEO audits aren't about magic tricks. They're about strategy, structure, and clarity. And yes, sometimes the most powerful fixes are boring — but they work.
